OUR ACTIVITIES
The Oak Trails began in 2006 with the aim of fostering adventure tourism in the Kumaon division. The cottages at the resort are meticulously crafted in the traditional Kumaoni architectural style. Stones are joined together using mud, and the walls are plastered with a mixture of mud and husk, offering excellent natural insulation. This thoughtful construction method not only preserves the cultural heritage of the region but also ensures a comfortable and sustainable stay for guests.

Akshay Tyagi2024-07-14 They don't just cater to the needs of their customers but also the environment. Beautiful trees and plants can be found on the property and you can always spot birds around yourself. Great location just makes it even better. Staff are really friendly and the food is good too. There are two lovely dogs at the property who will be with you throughout your stay. Arjun Samant2024-07-01 Its my father's friend property located 45 mins away from Nainital. Located at oak trails pangot. It's a beautiful property which has breathtaking view after 2 km of trek from the parking spot. Everything is top notch about Bobby uncles property from food to view and not to forget the quick service and food. Kuddos to oak trails for making my 26th birthday so special. Can't forget everything was so special about the property. My friends liked it so much that in the further future they will be visiting it without giving it a second thought. Amit Pandey2023-07-22 Very nice place to stay...scenic views with natural beauty...rooms well furnished & staff also very cooperative...we really enjoyed our 2 days visit there last month & in future I'll visit there again payal jain2023-06-26 Nice and quaint place located on hill top offering 360 degree view of hills, awesome homely food, generous host and courteous staff. Provides a perfect setting to disconnect from the world. No network, No TV, just the nature. Spotted a few birds too. We had a 3 night stay and it was most refreshing. Would love to come back. The access to the place is through a hike of about 800 mtrs, so if you have elderly or very small children, plan accordingly.. Arsh Singh2022-04-06 Visited at the end of March 2022 with my parents. The Oaks trail eco-lodge is a set of quaint little rooms and cottages spread across the beautiful property of the lodge. The lodge, as the name suggests, is set on a trail, which goes on to the top of the mountain, and down from there. The lodge is set at the top of said mountain, with signs present at the start and at the middle of the trail, indicating its presence. Soon, as you continue on, you’ll find the lodge, once again being indicated by a sign. It’s a well set up place, with stone paths leading down to a well kept and ornate lounge/dining hall, with Kumaoni paintings drawn up by the owners themselves. Another path leads down to an area full of nature birds, plants, you name it, and tables and chairs set up to enjoy it all. While the innards of the rooms and cottages are compact, they’re nonetheless, well arranged and orderly, with basic amenities that you’d expect to come along. There’s a lot of space present in the lodge and you can spend your time bird watching, etc. But if you’re still bored, fret not, for the three pet dogs and a cat are here to save the day. The dogs are a lively bunch and they’ll certainly make your day, especially when try to feed them. They have a variety of food options, their menu consists of a variety of veg and non-veg options, including soups, drinks, etc. The owner is a really down to earth person, lover of earth, passionate about nature, has exquisite taste which reflects in the paintings and the décor present in the lounge area, a person you can really socialize with. All in all an experience you will remember for life time… AKANKSHA VERMA2022-04-03 Stayed in the cottage at end of March 2022 with my family The USP of this property is in its name the "oak trail". Walking through this beautiful trail surrounded by Oak and Buransh trees, with many twists and turns, ups and downs you will reach this magnificent property (almost at the peak) surrounded by valley on both the sides. The around 800 meters long trail is surrounded by red Buransh trees at full blossom during our visit, or you can say we chose this period as we were longing to see this since last two years. The eco-lodge has 6-7 rooms with magnificent view of the valley. The property itself has a lot of open space full of different types of plants and flowers…perfect place for bird watching, witnessing sunrise and sunset, or just reading a book. My type of place where you can relax and detox your body by doing nothing. The cottages are spacious with all basic amenities available. The staff is very polite, helpful, and amicable. They will help you in every way possible. The food is very good and they serve you as per your need. You can also experience the Kumaoni culture and culinary with bone fire if you like. The lounge area is very big and very tastefully decorated by the owners themselves. The local Kumauni paintings on the walls are the joint creations of the owner couple. It almost feels like the home which we city folks always long for… The owner, Mr. Bobby is a true Kumaonian…and a wanderer by heart, very simple person who welcomes you not only in his home but also in his heart… Although I’m back to my routine life...I feel, I have left a small part of my heart there …in hope to visit again…again…and…again… Srishti Pant2021-12-20 Three of us stayed in Oak Trails for one day. Food abd service was amazing. Bonus for Animal Lovers as they have very cute dog and cat. We stayed in private cottage which had a rustic, rural look with mesmerizing view of Himalayas and mountains. Recommend to anyone who loves peace, nature and privacy. It's at a distance of almost a km from roadside which adds to its beauty and peace. SrishtiGoogle rating score: 4.6 of 5, based on 57 reviews
