The cottages have a slate roof. This local stone is put over split up logs and sealed with sticky mud in between.All the artisans and workers are from the near by villages only. We try to employ only local people from the village community.

Kilbury

At about 12 km. from Nainital at a height of (2528 MT) lies a place fit for weekend picnics. It is famous for its flora and fauna and bird watching. One can have a wide panoramic view of Himalayas along with a view of Tarai and Bhabhar. There is only one building in whole of Kilbury: a government maintained forest rest house where government officials can stay after getting valid permission from authorities.

Kilbury is an enchanting, picture-book picnic spot. Lined by lush oak, pine and rhododendron forests and with panoramic views of majestic snow-capped peaks in the distance, Kilbury is perfect to spend the day on your back doing nothing but lazily watching the clouds float by.

Cheena Peak

The Cheena Peak also known as Naini Peak or China Peak is situated at a short 1 hour trekking distance from Pangot and not approachable by motored roads. It is set at a height of 2615 mts above sea level making it the highest point of Nainital place.

Since the climb can be tiring ensure that you carry water and some snacks to eat while hiking uphill. You can also hire a pony or horse if you think you might not be able to go the distance. It is also prohibited to litter the place so make sure that after eating you do not throw the leftovers here but in a dustbin provided by the tourism department of the region.

Himalaya Darshan

A viewpoint called Himalayan Darshan is located in Nainital. In Nainital, it is among the most popular tourist spots. It is a well-liked Himalaya Darshan Point along the route to Kilbury.

With a Himalaya Darshan, a visitor’s trip to Nainital is complete. All the activities you may do in a single day at Himalaya Darshan include horseback riding at Bara Pathar—and other activities like getting lost in the Nakuldhar Eco Cave Garden. Tourists can also explore, visit Lovers Point, and spend a peaceful evening in Kilbury. Taking a bus is the most convenient and ideal mode of transportation. This route is frequented by numerous government and private buses.

About Us

The cottages are painstakingly constructed in traditional Kumaoni style. The stone on the walls are joined together by using mud and then the plaster on the wall is done by using mud and husk which provides for excellent insulation.
